About Me
Hi! I’m Charlotte, a trained and certified Sleep Consultant for babies and toddlers.
I help exhausted parents who are at the end of their tether, and who want to feel more confident in helping their child sleep well independently. Working with families all over the world, I can help you solve your child’s sleep puzzle piece by piece, helping them become the best sleeper they can be.
As a mother of 4, I have experienced first hand what it means to be at the point of complete exhaustion. When we had our first son, we didn’t have our parents close-by and decided to work with a maternity nurse/sleep consultant from day one. This turned out to be an invaluable experience as it allowed us to lay a solid foundation establishing good and healthy sleep skills right from the beginning. The sleep consultant developed an appropriate feeding and sleeping rhythm, as well as a solid bedtime routine, making it clear when day ended and night time began.
Having followed this strategy with our first two kids, we were lucky to reap the benefits as both of them became brilliant sleepers and still are to this day.
Thinking we could simply repeat this strategy on our own without external help, our third child came as a bit of a shock. Life got in the way and trying to do this solo, we simply weren’t able to establish the same healthy sleep habits that our other kids luckily caught onto so quickly. No 3 basically left us sleepless for 1.5 years with on and off episodes of night time wakeups, endless soothing and sitting by his bed waiting for sleep to come.
Having seen how successful our experience was with our sleep consultant and how much we struggled without, I became more and more professionally interested in the importance of sleep. And what it means for our health and bodies.
I decided to follow this growing passion and enrolled in The Sleep Sense™ Program, which is one of the most recognised, extensive and professional sleep consultancy trainings in the world. As a certified Sleep Sense™ Consultant, I can now support other families who are going through a tough time with sleep and help them get all the sleep they deserve and need for a healthy life. I often get asked the question, when is a good time to start teaching my baby to sleep – the answer is very simple, right from day 1! But it is also never too late to start.
